Overview
Tails of Pembrokeshire offers solo dog walking, group dog walks, home visits and puppy drop in services to support pet owners within the Robeston Wathen, Narberth, Templeton, Kilgetty, Begelly, Llawhaden, Gelli and surrounding area, supplying daily exercise, interaction and keeping up with their health and happiness.
1 - Hours
Tails of Pembrokeshire is open 8am – 5pm 5 days a week.
Subject to availability.
Extra days/hours will vary depending on prior arrangement with the pet owner.
2 - Meet and greet
Tails of Pembrokeshire provides a free meet and greet consultation, a set date and time agreed by both pet owners and Tails of Pembrokeshire. Assessment of the pet’s health and temperament will be analyzed and a detailed chat about the pet’s routine and food requirements will also be discussed. At this time, it’s advised to raise any questions you may have.
Dogs must have an ID tag on either their harness or collar.
Owners are asked to complete a welcome pack, which requests information about their pet, contact information and other requirements.
3 - Payments
Tails of Pembrokeshire accepts payments in the form of bank transfer or cash.
Payment for services is due on a weekly basis. In the event of non-payment, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel services until all outstanding amounts have been paid in full.
24 hours notice required for cancellations.
4 - Pricing
Tails of Pembrokeshire will agree any pricing terms and conditions with clients, prior to any services being carried out.
5 - Bookings/Cancellations
Bookings must be made in advance and confirmed by Tails of Pembrokeshire.
If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, you must give at least 24 hours’ notice for dog walking and pop in visits.
If cancellation is less than 24 hours, the full cost will need to be paid.
Should extreme weather conditions become dangerous, ill health of pet or any unforeseen circumstances this may mean that I have to cancel the appointment, if this has been pre-paid, I will of course refund any payments that have been made.
6 - Weather Conditions
Tails of Pembrokeshire may have to shorten or adjust walks due to extreme weather conditions (heat,cold,storms,snow) to protect your dog’s wellbeing.
7 - Insurance
Tails of Pembrokeshire is fully insured for public liability, documents are available upon request.
I ask that you make me fully aware of any information concerning your pet before the bookings are made.
8 - Liability
Tails of Pembrokeshire will take all reasonable precautions to ensure your dogs safety. However, dogs are walked at the owners risk. We are not liable for any illness, injury or death unless caused by proven negligence. Owners remain responsible for any damage or injury caused by their dog.
9 - Emergencies
In the event of an emergency with the pet in my care, owners give Tails of Pembrokeshire permission to take the animal to their allocated vet practice for treatment or a check-up. The owners will be liable to pay for all costs including medication and travelling. If Tails of Pembrokeshire is worried about the pet in our care, whether showing signs of illness, or abnormal behavior, the owner will give permission to allow us to take their pet to the vets.
10 - Media
Owners give permission for Tails of Pembrokeshire to take photographs and/or videos of their pets to use for marketing purposes. You can opt out of this any time, in writing.
11 - Reviews
On occasions, Tails of Pembrokeshire will ask clients for feedback of the services that have been provided and that this feedback may be used on business media for the purpose of marketing. No personal information will be released or shown to any other person.
12 - Data Protection/Privacy Policy
Tails of Pembrokeshire will store all clients information confidentially and will only be available to Tails of Pembrokeshire. We comply with the UK GDPR regulations.
13 - Medication/illnesses
Tails of Pembrokeshire will follow all instructions to administer medication that is required for the pet/pets in our care at any time.
Owners are to discuss any medical problems or illness that they feel Tails of Pembrokeshire should be made aware of during the time that the pet is in our care.
Any dogs that may be unwell on the day of the service or day before, Tails of Pembrokeshire must be made aware.
14 - Dog Health
By using Tails of Pembrokeshire you confirm that your dog is in good health and up to date with vaccinations, your dog is regularly treated for fleas, worms and ticks.
15 - Dog Behaviour
You have disclosed any behavioural issues to Tails of Pembrokeshire, such as, aggression, anxiety. We reserve the right to refuse or stop any services if a dog is deemed unsafe.
16 - Off-Lead Walking
Dogs may be walked off lead only with consent from the welcome pack form. Tails of Pembrokeshire will not be liable for incidents that occur while a dog is off lead unless due to negligence.
17 - Access to Property/Key Holding
By using Tails of Pembrokeshire, you agree to provide safe access to your property. Keys will be handled securely and only used by Tails of Pembrokeshire, for the agreed services.
Tails of Pembrokeshire are not responsible for any security issues, unrelated to our actions.
18 - Termination of Services
Tails of Pembrokeshire reserves the right to terminate services immediately if there is non-payment, aggressive or dangerous behaviour, breach of these terms.
